KF veterans know they start showing up at wave 5 and any new players will have caught on to this fairly quickly after playing KF2 for a little while. You're going to see the scrake at some point anyway, it's hardly needed. But I hate how it interrupts the game music.Īt first I thought it was fine, but seeing how it happens so often and serves no real purpose other than saying "yo, there's a scrake around", I think we could really do without. Don't get me wrong, the thing sounds cool and all, very threatening. The music volume gets turned down and you're treated to some machinery making noises and a nasty roar. The game loudly announcing the presence of a fresh scrake somewhere on the map. The last one was good, but there's even more songs here and we can even hear the vocals! Brilliant! Slaughtering zeds to some decent metal tunes gives me great enjoyment, but then there's this little thing that I personally find annoying. Surely I am not the only one thoroughly enjoying this game's soundtrack.
